Social Anxiety has a lot to do with how we think we will be, in social situations and, the symptoms and thoughts we experience in social situations.
In other words, do you spend a lot of time caught up in your head worrying about some event or something you may have to do in the future? Are you expecting the worst and try to find ways to avoid it? If you find yourself in a social situation, are you second guessing what other people are thinking of you, worried that you will blush, shake, or sweat, and that they know that you are anxious? Do you worry about “what is wrong with me” and think everyone else seems ok?
Having all of these thoughts in your head while interacting with another person, or even thinking about interacting socially, can cause anxiety symptoms in your body. A vicious cycle then starts.
Treatment for social anxiety/social phobia is to help you get your life back.

Social Anxiety Treatment Program
The program is written by myself, I am a Doctor of Psychology and Chartered Scientist and specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
The program will teach you how to
- Build your self confidence
- Feel relaxed in social situations
- Calm your thought processes, both before, during and after social interaction as often we worry about the social interaction, are second guessing what people are thinking during the interaction, and analyze everything we said and did, afterwards.
- Calm the physical symptoms of social anxiety, such as sweating, blushing and shaking.
I say this often throughout this site, what we think, feel and do, shapes our brain. At the moment if you are experiencing social anxiety, it is largely due to how your brain is wired. Practically everything that we think and do, sets up a pattern of learning in our brain. The Program is to help you to break down this pattern and teach your brain new ways to respond when thinking about social situations or actually being in them.
